ALBA Berlin has signed its first new addition just nine days after the end of the final series. US guard John Ford is coming to Berlin from Turkish league team Bahçeşehir Koleji and will receive a contract for the upcoming season.

John Ford is a 1.85-meter-tall US guard who played with number one in the Turkish league and averaged 13.5 points.
Why is Ford a good addition for ALBA Berlin?
The 28-year-old can play both shooting guard and point guard positions. ALBA sports director Himar Ojeda said: «Offensively, he brings enormous qualities that will help us as a team. He also has some experience in Europe.»
What experience does Ford have?
The 28-year-old comes to Berlin with experience from six NBA games for the Sacramento Kings, as well as engagements with Dolomiti Energia Trento and Trapani Shark in the Italian Serie A and the Turkish league.
